The ExAblate technology was approved in Europe as a method for the treatment of fibroids in 2002, and the FDA approved it in the United States in 2004.
Due to its innovation and its potential to treat other serious diseases like osseous metastasis and breast, liver, brain, and prostate cancers, the World Economic Forum acclaimed and bestowed ExAblate with the Technology Pioneers Award in 2008.

The whole procedure comprises three phases, which can be completed in two days.
The first two phases (consisting in the MR studies) are to determine if a patient is eligible for ExAblate 2000. Contact our doctors to know everything you can do from your country or hometown, in order to find out if you are eligible for the ExAblate treatment before traveling to Mexico City.
In the third phase the fibroids are treated and consequently the symptoms caused by them are brought to an end.
First Phase: Uterine fibroid diagnosis through the use of lower abdomen magnetic resonance images
This procedure accurately determines the presence, type, size, shape, location, number, and consistency of the uterine fibroids and is the decisive means of determining whether a patient is eligible for the ExAblate treatment or not. If eligible, this study will also examine the whole treatment plan and path of action.
This phase also diagnoses other pathologies that may be present in the pelvic area by assessing all pelvic structures: uterus, ovaries, urine bladder, sigmoid colon, and the iliac, sacrum, and coccyx bones.
Second Phase: Magnetic resonance with the use of a contrast agent
Only the eligible patients for the ExAblate treatment should be submitted to this study, whose aim is determining the biological activity of the uterine fibroids.
During this stage, responsible female doctors will give you a full explanation about the diagnosis and the details concerning the ExAblate treatment.
Third phase: ExAblate 2000 treatment
ExAblate is the most innovative treatment to bring to an end the symptoms caused by uterine fibroids in just four hours, without invasive surgery. In the rest of the world, an this treatment costs between 7 thousand and 23 thousand dollars (tax not included).
We accept Visa, Master Card and American Express credit cards, as well as cash (either Mexican pesos o American dollars).
For patients undergoing the third phase of the treatment, our prices include up to a two-night stay in a double room at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites located within the Médica Sur hospital complex, a few steps from the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit, where the ExAblate 2000 system is offered. Three days and two nights in Mexico City will suffice to conclude your preliminary studies as well as the whole treatment.

Hail official airport taxicabs to take you to your hotel.
Write down the name, address, and telephone numbers of your hotel, and carry them with you all the time.
Carry with you a photocopy of your passport and/or ID and keep the originals in your hotel safe box, along with your airplane ticket.
Do not wear any valuable jewelry or ostentatious items. If you are traveling with them, keep them in your hotel safe box.
Only exchange your money and/or traveler checks in banks, money exchange offices, or hotels. If you intend to take a walk around the streets, do not take with you large sums of money or all your credit/debit cards.
Avoid areas marked as unsafe and, if possible, do not go out very late at night.
Ask your hotel to recommend you a taxicab phone service and avoid hailing a cab randomly in the streets.
It is NOT advisable in Mexico City to eat food from sidewalk stands or to drink tap water. Eat your meals in restaurants and drink bottled water with no ice.
